Shukla ji comes from a family where the practice of astrology has been passed from generatios to generations. Laxmi Shankar have been taught astrology by his grandfather Pt. Shuklaalso, a renowned astrologer, and holding a post-graduate degree from a famous and prestigious university, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi.

Pt. Shukla has worked as a senior lecturer in astrology at Maharishi Vedic University (Vlodrop), Holland. He has visited many countries: Holland, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Thailand, Nepal and Japan. He is an expert in integrating the astrological principles of Vedic astrology into different cultures.
