Many times a person is not able to get happiness even after tireless efforts to get a child happiness in life. According to astrology, due to some planetary defects, the couple remains deprived of the happiness of their children, in such a situation, the time of Navratri is the best time to get the happiness of children. According to the beliefs, by worshiping the mother on this day, one gets the blessings of having children. The Skandamata form of Goddess Durga is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. It is told in the Devi Bhagavata Purana that Skandamata is the goddess of love and affection and is the mother of Kartikeya who is also known as Skanda. In such a situation, on the basis of religious beliefs, it has been said that couples should worship this form of the mother with a true heart on this day to fulfill their desire to have a child.

Being the mother of Lord Kartikeya i.e. Skanda Kumar, this fifth form of Durgaji is called Skandamata. In this form of Goddess, Lord Skanda is sitting in the lap of the mother in the form of a six-faced child. Because of having six faces, he is also called Shadanan. This form of mother has four arms. He is holding Skanda i.e. Kartikeya from his right upper arm and the lower arm on the same side has a lotus flower in his hand. The upper arm on the left side has varadamudra and below is another white lotus flower. The mother is also called by the name Skanda Mata by the name of her child Skanda.

Skanda mata worship method benefits:

A mother with a white complexion is sitting on a lotus flower. For this reason, she is also called Padmasana Devi. His vehicle is also a lion. Skandamata is the presiding deity of the solar system which is why there is a supernatural aura around her like the Sun. The importance of child happiness has been told in the scriptures on the fifth day of Navratri worship. For the worship of Skandamata, worship should be done by sitting on the holy seat of Kush or a blanket. Bananas should be offered as bhog to the mother. Along with this, yellow things are very dear to the mother, to get the blessings of the mother, feeding the poor brings happiness and peace in the house, and positive energy flows. Childless couples get the happiness of children.
