Chhera guard -
The Chhera Pahara ritual is performed before the Rath Yatra leaves. Wooden horses are mounted on all three chariots. Then the devotee of Shri Jagannath ji pulls this chariot for three kilometres. Brothers and sisters riding on all three chariots reach their aunt Gudicha's place. This is where Shri Hari stays with his siblings for three days and goes back.
Rath Yatra will return on July 9
Shri Jagannath Ji and his brother Balaram and sister Subhadra will return to their respective places on 9th July after resting for three days at their aunt Gudicha's house. The chariots will return on the tenth day of the month of Ashadha. After that, all the three chariots are erected right in front of the temple but at the same time, Shri Hari is not removed from the chariot. One day the entire chariot remains in the chariot. After that, they go to their places.
Heard the ritual -
Suna Besha ritual is performed on the day of the Devshayani Ekadashi fast. Devshayani Ekadashi has great significance in Hinduism. This ritual will be completed on 10th July. On this day all the three lions will reach the gate and they will be adorned with ornaments.
Half-pna ritual -
This ritual is extraordinary in Rath Yatra because, in this ritual, pota is prepared for Shri Hari (Jagannath) to drink. This ritual will be completed on July 11. On this day, water is drawn from the well and mixed with other spices like butter, cheese, banana, nutmeg, sugar, black pepper, etc. And this water is offered to God. It is also called the Adhar Pana ritual.
Niladri BJ -
The last ritual of Rath Yatra is. This ceremony will take place on 12th July. The rituals of the Yatra end with the Niladri BJ ritual. In this, Lord Jagannath, Balarama and Subhadra Ji are once again seated on the Ratna Throne in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Once again the conch shell started ringing in the temple.
