Sean in the Ganga is a very auspicious time. On this day, devotees participate enthusiastically in Snan in the Ganga, offer prasad to their deity, perform rituals and take a bath in the holy river as it liberates them from the miseries and sins of life.  Devotees also observe fast and worship Shiva and organize special pujas for the Lord in temples.

Sean in the holy river Ganga is auspicious only every month and it is of utmost importance at the time of Shukla Paksha when the moon finds its growth. Ganga Snan starts in the early morning.  People also worship Lord Vishnu by offering him flowers and offerings.

Every date that falls at this time is special. There are also special rituals from Pratipada to Poornima. Stories related to Purnima or Ekadashi symbolize the awakening of Lord Vishnu. It is a hot time, so at this time the festival of Nirjala Ekadashi is especially rewarding, which tells all the people the importance of donating water.  It is believed that worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day brings immense good fortune and blessings.
