Speak such a voice, you lose your mind
Make the woman cool, you should be cool
Bhava - Kabir ji says that a person should speak such a language which is very pleasing to the mind of the listener. Such language not only brings happiness to other people, it also gives oneself the experience of great happiness.
Keep the slanderers near, make the courtyard huts
Clean without soap, clean without water
Bhav - According to Kabir, people who do evil, that is, slanderers, should also be kept with them, because if such people stay with you, then they will keep telling you their evils and you can easily rectify your mistakes. Cynical people make a person's nature cold.
I went to see bad, not bad millia koi
Whatever your mind saw, no one is worse than me
Bhav - Kabir Das says that I kept trying to see the evils of others, but when I looked within myself, I found that there is no one worse than me. We see the evils of others a lot, but if we look inside our mind, we will find that there is no person worse than us.
Guru Gobind Dou Khade, Kake Lagoon Paye
Balihari Guru Aapne, Govind Diyo Milay
Bhav - Kabir ji has very beautifully described the context of the Guru, in this couplet it is said that if both the Guru and God are standing together in front of us, then who should be bowed down first, in such a situation, he says that the Guru has given his knowledge only. We have been told the way to meet God, so the glory of the Guru is above God and should be first to touch and bow to the feet of the Guru.
