According to the beliefs, Lord Shiva i.e. Trilokinath becomes very pleased with his devotees by fasting and worshipping. He fulfils every wish of the devotees. In Hinduism, all seven days of the week are dedicated to different gods and goddesses. By worshipping the dedicated deity on that day, the native gets auspicious results. The festival of Mahadev, the God of Gods, is celebrated on Monday. Lord Shiva is also called Trilokinath. Before fasting, go to the temple early in the morning after taking bath etc. or worship Lord Shiva at home according to the rules and regulations. First of all, bathe Mother Parvati and Nandi with Ganga water and milk along with Lord Shiva. After this, sandalwood, rice, cannabis, supari, bilvapatra and dhatura should be offered on them and worshipped by aarti.

Keep these things in mind while worshipping Shiva
It is believed that Lord Shiva likes white flowers, but the Ketaki flower, despite being white, is not used in the worship of Lord Shiva. Also, never offer stale or withered flowers to Lord Shiva as this may anger Lord Shiva and you may have to become a part of his anger. There is no law to offer water from the conch in the worship of Lord Shiva, so it should be avoided. Apart from this, the use of Tulsi is also considered prohibited in the worship of Lord Shiva. If you offer rice in the worship of Lord Shiva, then keep in mind that the rice should not be broken. Turmeric and Kumkum are considered to be symbols of origin, so they should not be used in the worship of Shiva. You can offer coconut to Lord Shiva, but not coconut water
