• While worshiping Mahadev, keep one thing in mind that the clothes you wear should not be black at all. If possible, you can wear white clothes. If possible, wear unstitched clothes.

• Offer things dear to Mahadev at the time of worship. Mahadev is very pleased by doing this. Like you give them Gangajal, cow's milk, ashes, rudraksh, white flowers, datura, cannabis, belpatra, leaves of Shami etc.

• Water should never be offered to Shivling with conch shell, nor should Kevade and Ketaki flower be offered on Shivling. Similarly, turmeric, coconut water and Tulsi Dal are also not offered in the worship of Mahadev.
• In worship of Mahadev, always chant his mantras with Rudraksh garland. Always chant the mantra in the mind and use Gomukhi for chanting the rosary.
