Shravan’s Shivaratri 2021: Know its significance, mantra, Shiva worship method and Jalabhishek Muhurta

Significance of Monthly Shivratri
The importance of monthly Shivratri in Sawan is no less than the importance of Mahashivratri. On this Shivaratri, worshiping Lord Shiva in a systematic way gives auspicious results in life. Lord Shiva is worshiped on this day by taking the resolution of fasting.
 
By observing the fast of Monthly Shivaratri, negative energy is destroyed, because in this fast a person has to renounce his demerits. Shiva is the truth, so the person who stays away from evil, greed, and wrongdoing gets the blessings of Lord Shiva.
 
Shivaratri, the holiest day of Lord Shiva, is considered as one of the best sources of positive energy along with attaining the happiness of Lord Shiva. It is said that by worshiping on this day, simply by performing Jalabhishek or Rudrabhishek on Lord Shiva, peace comes in life, and no matter how difficult the path may be, it becomes easy. Apart from this, by fasting and worshiping Shivaratri, one also gets the desired groom and all the wishes are also definitely fulfilled.

How to perform the Puja
On this day, wake up early in the morning and take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, if you want to fast, then take a vow to fast.
: Then offer Panchamrit on the Shivling in the temple of the house. (Make panchamrit by mixing milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugarcane juice or sugar)
After this, while chanting the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, offer Bel leaves, fruits, flowers etc. to the Shivling.
: Read or listen to Shiv Chalisa, and in the end all the people of the house together do the aarti of the Lord. Apart from this, according to Pandit Sharma, it is believed that you can fulfill your wishes by taking some measures in the worship of this day. Like…

• Offer sesame oil to Lord Shiva during the worship of this day to destroy sin. By this all your sins will surely be destroyed.
• Similarly, if a girl has the hope of a husband of her choice, then it is advised to offer gram dal to Lord Shiva on this day.
• If you want happiness, peace and prosperity in the house, then offer flowers or fruits of Dhatura to Lord Shiva.
• Apart from this, if you want to win any legal proceedings or win over your enemies, then offer cannabis to Lord Shiva on this day.

Your wish will surely be fulfilled. If your mind does not remain calm or you are surrounded by bad thoughts, then on this day chant Om Namah Shivaya with a rosary of Panchmukhi Rudraksha.
