Ram temples can be found all over the country, but the only very old temple dedicated to his mother Kaushalya is in Chandkhuri, Chhattisgarh. Near the Kaushalya temple is also the tomb of Vaidyaraj Sushen. Sushen Vaidya is said to have come from Lanka with Lord Rama after Ravana's defeat and died here in Chandkhuri.
