Keeping an old broom in the house leads to poverty as well as brings negativity in the house. The broom should be taken out of the house anytime on Saturday or in Amavasya. Throwing a broom from the house on the day of Amavasya does not cause any fault.

When and Where To Throw
However, the broom should never be thrown out of the house on Thursday and Friday. By doing this, Mata Lakshmi is insulted. The broom should never be thrown in the garbage can. Somewhere it has also been told that it is right to buy broom on Tuesday also. Keep in mind that the day you buy the broom, start it on the same day. According to Vastu, by doing this the defect ends and money also starts coming.
The broom should never be thrown near the drain or tree. Throw it at a place where no one can touch your feet. Because it is believed that Mata Lakshmi resides in the broom.


New broom Also Has Vastu Rules
Broom also has its own Vastu rules. The broom should be bought anytime on Tuesday, Saturday, and Amavasya. Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha are the best days to buy a broom in the Hindu monthly calendar. But the day of buying a broom is Krishna Paksha. Keep the broom in such a place where no one can see it. It is also done so that no one should have feet on the broom.
The place where the broom is kept should be kept clean. Always throw it in a clean place.
