According to Hindu scriptures, each day of the week is dedicated to different deities and goddesses. Wednesday or Budhwar is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Let us understand the significance of Budhwar Vrat and how to perform it.

Significance
Lord Ganesha is considered to be the provider of wisdom as well as the god who provides auspiciousness, therefore he is worshipped before at any auspicious occasion or event for good luck. Fasting on Wednesday removes all the hardships and brings peace and happiness to one's life.
Fasting on Wednesday grows your business and improves the financial condition of the house. Also If you are troubled by skin-related diseases, then fasting on Wednesday will be very beneficial for you.
 
When to start?
You can start your fasting from any Wednesday of Shukla paksha of any month but starting it from Wednesday of Visakha Nakshatra is considered favorable. At least seven fasts should be observed or until 21st or 24th Wednesday if the problem is more severe.
 
Vrat ki Vidhi/Method of fasting
After an early bath, install Wednesday yantra in the temple and offer your prayers to the Lord Ganesha. Next, take a resolution on the number of fasts to be observed on Wednesday. Offer bhog to Lord like ladoo or moong dal halwa. Next offer flowers, roli, hoop, etc to the deity. Lastly, chant aarti and the story of Wednesday fast. It is believed that the green color is considered auspicious on this day so try wearing that.
 
What to eat?
You can have only one meal that too in the evening and fruit during the day. One must not intake even a pinch of salt on the day of fast. Break your fast in the evening only with prasad.
Donate green clothes, moong dal, or green vegetables to the needy on this day for more blessings of God. Lastly, feed 21 brahmins as much as you can and give dakshina.

To offer prayers to the deity chant this mantra: Priyang Kalikabhasam Rupenapratimum Budham.Soumya Soumya Gunapetam Tan Budhapranamayham
 
To offer your apologies to the lord, chant this mantra: Aavahanam na janami na janami tavarchanam.
Worship chaiva na janami parmeshwar
 
For immersion, take Akshat, flowers in hand, and immerse it by chanting the mantra: situthanam gachchh devesh parivayutah Prabho.
