2. There should be no dirt in the house
False utensils, dirty clothes should not be piled during worship. Ordinary food is not prepared at the place where Prasad is being made. Also, eating at that place is also prohibited.
3. Use of New Hearth
While making the offerings of Chhathi Maiya, utmost care is taken of purity. For this, it is always made on such a stove which can be smeared daily. In such a situation, there is a traditional rule of making earthen stoves in homes. If gas is to be used, then a new stove is used, which is taken out every year only on the day of Chhath. It is a rule that Chhath Prasad is not made on an already made stove.
4. Forbidden to sleep on the bed
The person who is fasting has to keep a fast for four days of Chhath Puja and it is forbidden to sleep on the bed or bed. In such a situation, he can sleep by laying a mat on the ground and can use blankets, etc.

During Chhath Puja, only satvik food has to be prepared at home. While making prasad, salt should not be touched by hand even by mistake. Vrat and family members also cannot eat onion, garlic and meat and fish during Chhath Puja.
