Ashtami is considered an important day in Hinduism. Mother Durga is worshiped and fasted on Ashtami. Durga Ashtami fast is observed on the eighth day of Shukla Paksha in every Hindu month. Monthly Durga Ashtami fast will be observed on Wednesday, 30 November 2022. This fast is also called the monthly fast of Maa Durga. Ashtami falls twice in the Hindu calendar, once in Krishna Paksha and the other in Shukla Paksha. Maa Durga's fast is kept on Ashtami of Shukla Paksha. Ashtami falling in Sharadiya Navratri festival in the month of Ashwin and Ashtami falling in Chaitra Navratri festival are called Maha Ashtami and Durga Ashtami. Which is an important day for the devotees of Goddess Durga. Other festivals that fall on Ashtami dates are known by the names of Sheetla Ashtami, Krishna Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami, Ahoi Ashtami, Gopa Ashtami etc.

Durga Ashtami chanting importance:
Maa Durga is always ready to remove the sufferings of her devotees, so people worship Maa with a true heart so that their troubles can be overcome. Special fast is observed on this day, mother is worshipped, kirtan is performed and mother is meditated upon. It is believed that by chanting the mantras of Maa Durga, a person gets special fruits and these mantras are very beneficial. It is written in the scriptures that by chanting these mantras there is no obstacle in life. Along with this, all the happiness is attained. These days, while worshiping Maa Durga, her form should be remembered.
If these mantras are chanted with a true heart on the day of Monthly Durga Ashtami, then the person gets success. It is believed that not only Navratri, but these mantras can also be chanted regularly. Due to the auspicious days of Navratri, it can be specially done during these days. It is said that if these mantras are not chanted properly then there is no result of chanting mantras, so take special care of chanting mantras.
