Let us know its secret.
Tulsi is not offered to God for this reason
There is a mythological story behind why Tulsi is not liked by Lord Ganesha. It is told in the Puranas that once Lord Ganesha was doing penance on the banks of the river Ganga. During this time, Dharmatmaj's daughter Tulsi set out on a pilgrimage with the desire to get married. Goddess Tulsi reached the banks of the Ganga after visiting all the pilgrimage places. On the banks of Ganga, Goddess Tulsi saw that young Ganeshji was engrossed in penance. According to the scriptures, Lord Ganesha was engrossed in penance and was seated on a throne studded with gems. Sandalwood was applied to all parts of his body. Along with Parijat flowers, there were many necklaces of gold and precious gems around his neck. A very soft silk scarf was wrapped around her waist.
Tulsi was fascinated by this beautiful form of Lord Ganesha. A desire arose in his mind to marry Lord Ganesha. Tulsi dissuaded him from his desire for marriage. Then Lord Shri Ganesh considered it inauspicious for Tulsi to break his penance and knowing Tulsi's intention, he rejected Tulsi's marriage proposal by calling himself a celibate.
Tulsi became angry when the marriage proposal was rejected and she cursed Ganeshji that he would have not one but two marriages. On this, Lord Ganesha also cursed Tulsi that she would be married to a demon. Since then, offering Tulsi in the worship of Lord Ganesha is not considered auspicious. Since then, offering Tulsi in the worship of Lord Shri Ganesha is considered taboo
