Words and their meanings used in daily worship

We use certain words in our daily worship. But do not understand their meaning. Many times, especially those who have knowledge are asked to name all the things related to daily worship and what is found in them, such things are not known. We will present some such articles every day for the enlightenment of the people of Sanatan Dharma.

You use the following words in your daily worship. Well, these are many in number. But we have brought mainly 27 words and their meanings for you.

1. Panchopchar – Worshiping with scent, flowers, incense, lamp, and naivedhya is called 'Panchopchar'.

2. Panchamrit – The mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey {honey] and sugar is called 'Panchamrit'.

3. Panchagavya - Cow's milk, curd, ghee, urine, and cow dung are collectively called 'Panchagavya'.

4. Shodashopachar – The method of worshiping by invocation, asana, padhya, arghya, aachman, bath, clothes, ornaments, fragrance, flowers, incense, lamp, and naivedya is called 'Dashopachar'.

5. Dashopachar - The method of worshiping with the help of Padhya, Arghya, Achamaniya, Madhuparka, Aquaman, Gandha, Flowers, Incense, Deep and Naivaidya is called 'Dasopachar'.

6. Tridhatu - Gold, silver, copper, their mixture is also called 'tridhatu'.

7. Panchadhatu – Gold, Silver, Iron, Copper, and Zinc.

8. Ashtadhatu – Gold, Silver, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Ranga, Bronze, and Mercury.

9. Naivaidhya – Sweet things like kheer, sweets, etc.

10. Navratna – Ruby, Pearl, Coral, Emerald, Topaz, Diamond, Sapphire, Onyx, and Vaidurya.

11.Gandhatraya – Sindoor, Turmeric, Kumkum.

12. Panchang - Flower, leaf, fruit, bark, and root of any plant

13. Dasamsa – tenth part.

14. Samput – Closing two earthen pots by mixing them with each other's mouth.

15. Bhojpatra - the bark of a tree. For using the mantra, such a piece of Bhojpatra should be taken, which is not torn.

16. Wearing Mantra - Any mantra can be worn by both men and women in the throat, but if they want to wear it in the arm, then the man should wear it in his right arm and the woman in the left arm.

17. Amulets – These are available in abundance in the market made of copper. These are available in two sizes round and flat. Amulets can be made of gold, silver, tridhatu, and ashtadhatu, etc.

18. Mudras - The act of taking the fingers of the hands in a particular position is called 'Mudra'. There are many types of currencies.

19. Bath – It is of two types. External and internal, external bath with water and internal bath by chanting.

20. Tarpan - The act of pouring water with the finger of the hand, standing in water up to the knees in the water of a river, lake, etc., is called 'Tarpan'. Where there is no river, lake, etc., the ritual of 'tarpan' is completed even by filling water in a vessel.

21. Aachman - The act of putting water in your hand and putting it in your mouth is called Aachman.

22. Karanyas – The chanting of mantras on the thumb, finger, kartal and karpapi is called 'Karanyas'..
