Veda and the scholar of Sanskrit
Ravana knew the four Veda wholeheartedly and was well versed in Sanskrit. He was adept at Sam Veda. He wrote Shiva Tandava, Created works like Jardisha Tantra and Rijutha Kamadhenu. He also had knowledge about the 6 Upanishads. He had also mastered the art of chanting Veda in an extraordinary manner which is known as “Pada patha”.
 
Knowledge of Ayurveda
Ravana also contributed a lot to Ayurveda. A book called Arka Shastra was also written by Ravana, Which has much information related to the usage of herbs for complicated diseases. Then he also wrote Kumara Tantraya that contains knowledge about gynecology and pediatric medicine. These books contain treatment of more than 100 diseases. He wrote these books at the behest of his wife Mandodari. This shows that he had multiple interests.
 
Well Versed In Poems
Ravana was not just a warrior. He also composed many poems and verses. Shiva Tandava is one of His creations. The shiva tandava stotram describes the beauty and power of Lord Shiva. This got Shiva so impressed that He gave a boon to Ravana of invulnerability and supremacy. He was also given a gem by Him that contained nectar for immorality.
 
Knowledge of Music
Ravana was also fond of music. Defeating Ravana in playing Rudra Veena was almost impossible. Ravana used to play Rudra Veena whenever he was upset. Not only this, but Ravana also made a cell which was called Ravanaatha. Even today it is played in Rajasthan.
 
 
Ravana Help To Rama
Lord Rama had to perform the yajna before building a bridge over the sea. The yajna would succeed only when God Sita sat with Rama. Ravana himself brought Goddess Sita to succeed Rama's yajna. After the yajna was over when Rama Ravana called 'Victorious Bhava' when he asked for Ravana's blessings

After the defeat in the war when Ravana was counting his last breaths, Lord Rama then asked Laxman to get knowledge from Ravana. Laxman sat near Ravana's head. Ravana told Laxman that if you want to get knowledge from your guru, then always sit at his feet. This tradition continues even today. He told him how one should always treat cooks, charioteers,s, and gatekeepers with utmost love and respect.
 
 
Sita as Ravana’s Daughter
The Ramayana has been adopted as a treatise in many countries. According to the Ramayana in Thailand, Sita was the daughter of Ravana, Which Ravana buried in the ground after a prophecy.
