MaghSnan is a holy bathing ceremony held at Sangam in Prayagraj in the Magh month, according to the North Indian traditional calendar. On January 14, 2022, MaghSnan 2022 begins and ends on March 1, 2022. The three sacred rivers — Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati – converge at Sangam in Prayag or Allahabad. It is thought that taking a holy dip at the confluence of these three rivers will aid in the attainment of Moksha.

On Paush Purnima, MaghSnan begins and ends with MahaShivratri. A temporary tent city emerges on the banks of the Sangam in Prayag during the MaghSnan era.
