So let us know why it is considered auspicious to take the ashes of Ravana home and how this tradition started.
After combustion, people bring the ashes of Ravana home, know what is the reason behind it
The effigy of Ravana is burnt celebrating the victory of righteousness and truth over unrighteousness and untruth. On this day Lord Rama killed Lankapati Ravana and freed Mother Sita from Ravana. Every year from Navratri to Dussehra, Ramlila is staged in different parts of the country to remember the end of Ravana and the festival of Ravana Dahan is celebrated on Dussehra, but Ramlila is staged in Bisrakh, a village in Noida, adjacent to Delhi. It is not done and neither is Ravan Dahan. There is a mythological belief behind this.
Local people say that whenever Ramlila is organized here or Ravana is burnt, then someone dies here. Because of this Ramlila always remains incomplete, so people stopped organizing Ramlila and Ravana Dahan forever.
