First allow us to tell you that consistent with the Hindu calendar, per annum Pitru Paksha starts from the complete moon day within the month of Bhadrapada. This time Shradh Paksha has started from 20th September which can continue till 06th October 2021. No auspicious work should be finished these 15 days. In Pitru Paksha, the souls of ancestors should be worshiped for peace. It is believed that Yamraj also frees the living beings in order that by taking tarpan from his relatives, he blesses the members of the family.
 
It is said that by doing virtue, one can obviate sin. At an equivalent time, an individual who does good deeds in life gets an area in heaven and an individual who does bad times or commits sins gets a place in hell. But, many spiritual books also describe an area which is break away both heaven and hell. It is said that this is often the place where the ancestors i.e. our ancestors stay there to urge salvation.

Devdutt Patnaik, an expert in Hindu mythology, writes about ancestors in his book Myth=Mithya, there's a separate place for ancestors. Those who are saved to the planet of death without parturition to a toddler, they need nobody left on earth who can ensure their rebirth; they are bound to live in a son. Therefore a son and a daughter are called in Sanskrit Putra and Putri, which means the one who delivers from the son. By giving birth to a child, a person not only pays off the debt of his forefathers but also helps the daddy to flee from the planet of death to the planet of life.
