The month of Sawan has started. Throughout this month, devotees of Shiva are engaged in trying to please Mahadev by worshipping Shiva in different ways. Some worship by keeping a fast on Monday, while some perform Kanwar yatra and perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with Ganges water. The first Monday of Sawan is falling on 18th July 2022. It is believed that by worshipping Shivling made of clay on Monday of Sawan, a person gets wealth and grains. It is also called Parthiv Shivling. Parthiv Shivling rules:
- To make the Parthiv Shivling, only the soil of a holy river, pond or bael tree should be used because purity has special importance in life and worshiping God in a pure way is beneficial only then. While making Shivling, mix milk in the soil and purify it.
- Now face the east or north direction and mix cow dung, jaggery, butter and ashes in the soil and make mortal remains in a large puja plate. During this, Shiva kept chanting the mantra.
- Keep in mind that the size of Shivling should not be made more significant than 12 fingers. If it is higher than this, the fruit of worship is not available.
Parthiv Shivling Puja Method:
- On Monday of Sawan, invoke Lord Ganesha, Mata Parvati, Vishnu Ji and Navagraha before worshiping the Parthiv Shivling.
- Now worship the Parthiv Shivling according to the Shodashopachar method (i.e., worshipping while offering sixteen items). Offer water, roli, milk, curd, ghee, honey, roli, molly, akshat, belpatra, datura, Shiva's favourite flowers, cannabis, ash, perfume, etc Shivling.
- By offering bhog to Bholenath, chant the mantra Om Namah Shivaya 108 times. The recitation of Shiv Chalisa is also considered to be the best.
- Worshipping Lord Shiva with family in Sawan Somwar Puja destroys mental and physical diseases.
Benefits of Parthiv Shivling Puja on Sawan Monday:
- In the Shiva Purana, the Parthiv Shivling is considered the best for worshipping Lord Shiva.
- Worshipping a Shivling made of clay at home during Sawan Somwar fast ends the fear of premature death and gives the boon of health. If you want to get rid of financial constraints, then on every Monday of Sawan, make the Parthiv Shivlinga duly worshipped and then flow them in the holy river the next day.
- It is written in Shiv Puran that worship of Parthiv destroys all sorrows and by the grace of Lord Shiva, children get happiness.
