The month of Sawan has started. Worshipping Baba Bholenath has special significance in this month. This day is considered very auspicious. The fruit of this day is virtuous. It is said that by observing the fast on Monday, Lord Shiva's grace is obtained, every sorrow is destroyed.The fast can be kept by anyone, old or young. Although fruits are eaten during fasting, but some special dishes are taken on the day of Shivratri because due to lack of salt, one can feel lethargic and tired throughout the day.

People keep this fast in two ways. Many times the Vratis keep the fast for the whole day and break the fast in the evening, while some people break their fast on the second day by offering water to Lord Shiva at night. In such a situation, this fast is difficult. Many people eat fruit by adding rock salt, while many people take only fruits and juices without salt.
You can consume these things in Monday fast, there will be physical-mental purification.
 
Makhane and Peanuts
If you eat Makhane and peanuts after frying them in ghee, then your mouth also becomes fresh and your stomach also remains light. You feel fresh all day. You can also add rock salt to makhana and peanuts. Peanuts have a good amount of vitamins
 
Thandai
Thandai made from milk contains calcium and protein. Thandai is very good for stomach. This gives you energy. Cardamom is also given in it. Drinking thandai once or twice keeps the stomach cool. Thandai is prepared by adding almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts, many types of dry fruits. Actually, the paste of these things is mixed in milk and then it is mixed by adding saffron, sugar, cardamom, fennel. By consuming it, your sugar level also remains correct.
 
water chestnut cutlets
You can make cutlets from water chestnut flour. Grate many vegetables like carrots, potatoes and capsicum and add salt and green chilies and fry the mixture in oil after making balls. After that eat it. Cutlets are rich in fiber
 
Buckwheat flour cheela
You can also make pancakes or parathas from buckwheat flour. If possible, grate the cucumber in it and then after giving a little oil, bake the chili in a frying pan. Parathas can also be baked by stuffing potatoes in buckwheat flour.
 
Apart from this, fruits and nuts can be consumed.
For physical purification, take basil or basil water, grapes. Drink ginger water. For mental purification, do chanting, meditation, satsang, charity.
