Importance of Chaitra Purnima fast - It is believed that by bathing in holy rivers on this day, one gets freedom from all sins. 

At the same time, by making donations to the poor, one gets heaven and happiness and facilities are attained.

Chaitra Purnima is considered to be the first full moon of Nav Samvatsar. There is also a tradition of celebrating Hanuman Jayanti on the day. It is said that on this day Hanuman ji was born from the womb of mother Anjani. In such a situation, worshiping Lord Hanuman gives strength and courage.

• First of all, wake up in the morning and take bath.

• Worship the Sun at the time of bathing and offer prayers to him while chanting his mantra.
• After that one should worship Madhusudan and offer Naivedya to him.
• Then donations should be given to the poor or needy.
