Varaha jyanti is the festival associated with the half-pig and half-human incarnation of Lord Vishnu. this is celebrated on the third day of shukla paksha of bhadrapada month and also known as the birth anniversary of Lord Varaha.

Lord Varaha is the third incarnation among the ten incarnations of lord vishnu, Lord Varaha's birth anniversary is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of shukla paksha of bhadrapada month. Story of Varaha Jayanti
It is believed that the Lord Varaha is the savior of the world from all the evil forces. it is also said that the earth was submerged by the water of holocaust. in that situation, Lord Vishnu incarnated in the form of lord varaha through the nose of Lord Vishnu. it is believed that in the blink of an eye of brahma ji a thumb sized Varaha Avtaar took the form of mountain. The mere roar of him all the ten directions make tremble. after this, all the sages, deities, gandharvas etc started praising him. after this they started finding the submerged earth and entered to the water but when he tried to save the earth by his snout, Hiranyaksha attacked on him with a mace. after this lord varaha killed the Hiranyaksha and established the earth by pouring water with his hooves.

Worship method of Lord Varaha
On this holy festival the worshipers wake up early in the morning and do meditation, worship, chant, and also do kirtans of varaha avtaar with a garland of coral or red sandalwood. this festival is mainly celebrated in South India. on this day it is the law to chant the mantra of lord varaha with a garland of coral or red sandalwood. by doing this, the worshipers will get the blessings soon and also get happiness and prosperity to their life. By chanting the following mantra 108 times with honey, sugar or jaggery, all the wishes are fulfilled.
