1. Battle Scenes:-
War scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata should not be kept in the house. Such pictures and paintings depict rivalry between family members.

2. Cactus Plant:-
You should never plant a cactus or have thorny trees in your home. Prickly plants other than roses should also be removed.

3. Negative Pictures:-
Images and pictures of trees without fruit or flowers, sinking boats, socks, battle scenes using swords, hunting scenes, magic, captured elephants, and pictures of sad people, weeping should not be kept in the House

4. Taj Mahal:-
No showpiece or picture of the Taj Mahal should be kept in the house. It is a grave and a symbol of death. Although people recognise the Taj Mahal as a symbol of love, it is actually the tomb of Shah Jahan's wife Mumtaz. Therefore, no such showpiece or photo of the Taj should be kept in the house as it is a symbol of death and inaction. And it is believed that such things at home seriously affect our lives.

5. Paintings or Sculptures of animals:-
Pictures, paintings, and sculptures of animals and birds like pigs, snakes, donkeys, eagles, owls, bats, vultures, pigeons, and crows should be avoided. Vastu advises not to keep or display a single bird or animal in the bedroom of the couple. No image or showpiece of a wild animal should be kept at home as it reflects the wildness in the nature of all things. It brings a violent attitude to the nature of the people living in the house.

6.  Demons:-
All pictures of scary demons, wild animals like tigers, wolves, bears, lions, jackals and wild boars, etc. should not be kept in the house.

7. Broken Idols:-
Do not keep broken glass, broken mirrors, and broken idols of God and Goddess in your house.

8. Picture of Mahabharata:_
The picture of any scene of Mahabharata should not be kept in your house. Such things and images symbolise the never-ending rivalry between the family members.

9. Nataraja:-
The image of Shiva, a cosmic dancer, is found in almost every classical dancer's home. But there are two sides to the same coin. Nataraja is the epitome of this tremendous art form, as well as a symbol of destruction. This is because the dance form is actually 'Tandava Nritya', which means dance for destruction. So a picture or showpiece of Natraj is one of those things that should not be kept in your home.
