Significance and Method of Sai Worship

Sai Puja is performed with great faith and devotion in the heart of the worshipper. Then only the great saint Sai Baba is touched and he fulfils all the wishes of his devotee. Importance of Sai Puja: -

  • Lamps are lit for worship and these lamps should never be switched off. Instead, these lamps should be allowed to glow till the oil or ghee is gone. The significance of lighting lamps in Sai Puja is to burn all the past sins of a devotee who worships Sant Sai Baba.
  • Two lamps are lit in this puja. The two lamps indicate faith and patience respectively. Seeing the first lamp, the devotee should seek Sai Baba's blessings with full faith and devotion and surrender himself at the feet of the saint. Seeing the second lamp, he should surrender at Sai Baba's feet and ask for patience and seek his blessings. Sai worship method: -

Sai Puja Vidhi is a very simple process. The main requirement for this worship is faith and devotion. Then all the wishes of the devotee will be fulfilled by the great saint Sai Baba.

Kakad Aarti:

The devotee should get up at 5 in the morning. In the morning, light the lamps and perform Kakad Aarti. The offering should be a mixture of butter and sugar. Pancharati is preferred for this puja, which is to use 5 vicks for all the warts. After the completion of the aarti, the reading of the Satchatira begins.

Coronation:

The process of consecration is done around 8 am, which is to be done using a small idol of Shirdi Sai Baba Aksatha (yellow rice) and hot water and 9 times it should be offered at Sai Baba's feet. During the abhishekam, the devotee should chant Vishnusahsanam, Rudram or Purushasuktam. The first order of the consecration is milk. Then tender coconut, followed by orange or lime juice, then curd, rose water and the last of all Ganga Jal is given. After the consecration, the idol of Sai Baba is decorated with garlands, cloth and placed in the temple. After applying Kumkum and sandalwood on the idol, a coconut is broken and placed on both halves of the idol. Satchatira should be read.

Middle Aarti:

This aarti is performed around 1 pm. After the completion of the chapter. Then offerings, such as brinjal, rice, flatbread and poori any two vegetables are offered. Re-reading begins immediately. After noon Aarti Chapter 50 and 51 should be read by the host. Devotees can take turns to read Sai Satritra and pin drop silence should be maintained in the hall.

Dhoop Aarti:

After the completion of reading all the chapters, Shirdi Sai Ashotram is chanted with flowers and Chana is offered as Prasad. The session ends with Dhoop Aarti. The session ends with Dhoop Aarti. The whole process takes 10.5 -11 hours.

Thus, the Sai Puja method is undeniably simple, but must be followed wholeheartedly with great devotion to receive Sai Baba's blessings.
