After fasting for the whole day without eating or drinking, the fast is broken by eating dates in the evening after offering Namaz. When the sun sets on the Maghrib, it is opened in the evening. This is referred to as Iftar.
Understand the significance of Ramadan
Ramadan is a month that lasts 29 or 30 days. If Eid falls on a Monday, Ramzan will last 29 days in India, and if it falls on a Tuesday, Ramzan will last 30 days. The month of Ramadan will be 30 days long in Arab countries this year. In Islam, Ramadan is thought to be the month when the doors of mercy are opened. The reward for prayers said during this month is doubled. After 10-10 days, the month of Ramadan is divided into three sections, known as Ashra. Allah is said to have mercy in the first Ashra. The second Ashra is supposed to be forgiving of faults, while the third Ashra is for rescuing oneself from the Jahannam fire.
