After which the Vaishakh month, which is the second month, will begin. Purnima Vrat is very good and destroyer of sufferings. The date of full moon of Chaitra month will start at 02:25 midnight on 16th April and will end the next day at 12.24 pm on 17th April.
Famous as Chaitri Poonam, fasts are observed on this festival. The fast on this day should be started since the full moon date. If possible, one should not miss the opportunity to take bath in the holy rivers. The recitation of Lord Satya Narayan during that full moon fast is considered very auspicious and the most subtle way to destroy all the troubles.
