If you are travelling somewhere during navratri  then for your convenience you should take food items with you:

Navratri has started from 26 September and ends on 4th October. Different forms of maa Durga are worshipped during Navratri. You should know that shardiya Navratri is considered to be very pure. Maa Durga's pandals are set up everywhere. Devotees also keep fast during Navratri. But it is not necessary that everything happens at home, there are both working women as well as working man as Maa Durga's devotees. Anyways the fast of Navratri lasts for whole 9 days. The most important thing is that anyone who fasts for 9 days of Navratri does not consume garlic and onion . If you are travelling during your Navratri fasting then you may face some trouble regarding your food that is suitable for fast. So  let us know the recipes of some food items that you can carry while travelling:

Dumplings:-
Dumplings are long lasting food and are also light . You can make different types of dumplings for example, you can cut potatoes ,tomatoes ,bottle gourd, paneer  and bananas into chips and then fry them. Along with this sago dumplings can also be made .You can enjoy the dumplings anywhere with tomato chutney.

Sago items:
There are many recipes that you can make from sago during Navratri fast .sago  dumplings and khichdi can be made very easily and you can carry them with you while travelling. By consuming sago food items we will feel energetic. The good thing about sago is that it is very easy to make and takes less time as well as it is very light  to eat.

Potatoes:
Potato is one of the favorite food during fasting. Anything can be made with potatoes easily . They are used  lot in Navratri fasting. You can make potato kheer, pudding, cutlets ,dumplings or can only deep fry them and can carry them very easily while travelling . The most simple and quick recipe is to just fry the potatoes in the ghee and yes they are ready to eat.

Kattu ke pararthe or Buckwheat flour flatbread:
During navratri's buckwheat paranthas  are also eaten by the devotees as it is also included in the food items during fasting. It can be easily consumed while travelling. Just keep in mind that paratha can last only for 7 to 8 hours. You can also enhance its flavors by adding some spices.
