Trimbakeshwar temple is a very holy and revered ancient temple located in the town of Trimbak in Nashik district of Maharashtra. The temple is formed as a sign of devotion towards Lord Shiva and houses one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple is aesthetically located in the middle of hills, namely, Bharamagiri, Nilagiri and Kalagiri. The temple consists of images and incarcerations of many deities like Rama, Krishna, Kedarnatha, Parasurama, Lakshmi Narayana etc. In some of the holy ancient and ritual books it has been mentioned that this temple was built by Peshwa Baji Rao.
The jyotirlinga is considered to be highly unique and special as it has three faces that embody Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. The jyotirlinga has been built entirely with rich black stones and has been adorned with a golden crown on its top. The temple has been beautifully decorated with jeweled porches and arches and the walls of the temple are carefully and delicately painted and sculpted with floral designs and sculptures of gods and goddesses. Due to its aesthetically pleasing view and the spiritual connection of the people with the deity, the temple witnesses thousands of devotees visiting the temple throughout the whole year.
