Bhimana Amavasya is an important Hindu ritual performed by women in Karnataka. Story of Bhim Amavasya
The story of Bhima Amavasya is based on the story of a young girl who was married to a dead prince. Impressed by his devotion, Shiva and Parvati appeared before him and brought the prince alive. The earthen pot prepared by him was broken by Lord Shiva.
