Bhimana Amavasya is an important Hindu ritual performed by women in Karnataka. Story of Bhim Amavasya
The story of Bhima Amavasya is based on the story of a young girl who was married to a dead prince. But he accepted his belief and on the next day of marriage, he worshiped Bhimana Amavasya with earthen lamps. Impressed by his devotion, Shiva and Parvati appeared before him and brought the prince alive. The earthen pot prepared by him was broken by Lord Shiva.
