Budh Pradosh Puja Method
On this day, after getting up early in the morning and taking bath etc., first of all one should take the pledge of fasting. You should also worship Mother Parvati along with Shivji. The place of worship should be sanctified by sprinkling Ganges water. Pictures or idols of Mother Parvati and Mahadev should be established. Flowers-garlands, Shami, Dhatura, Belpatra, Bhang, Mishri honey etc. should be offered to God. Red flowers should be offered to the mother and you can also give makeup material. Sweets can be offered as Prasad. You can also offer gram as bhog to God. The mantra of Lord Shiva should be chanted by lighting a lamp of ghee. Shiv Chalisa should also be recited. Pradosh Vrat Katha should be read or heard. Aarti should be performed to Lord Shiva and pray to God for happiness and peace. Pradosh Vrat can be fruitful. On the second day after sunrise, the fast is celebrated.

Significance of Budh Pradosh Vrat
Since the last Pradosh of the year is falling on Wednesday, it will be called Budh Pradosh Vrat. The worship of Pradosh is started 45 minutes before sunset which is done till 45 minutes after sunset. By worshiping and fasting on this day, apart from Mahadev, the blessings of Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya are also received. God's grace showers and the person remains healthy.
