From Nahay Khay to other rules in Chhath Puja
Chhath Puja is a festival lasting for four days. This is a very rigorous and full of dedication festival. In this festival which lasts for four days, the first day is celebrated as Nahay-Khay. The time of bathing and eating will be on 17th November. A person observing fast in Nahay Khay wears clean new clothes after taking a bath in the river etc. early in the morning. The second day of the Chhath festival is called Kharna. On the day of Kharna, sweet food is eaten once and after that salt is not eaten on this day.

The third day of the Chhath festival is known as Sandhya Arghya. Shashti Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start on 18 November 2023 at around 09:18 am. Shashthi Tithi will end on 19 November 2023 at around 07:23 am. This festival is considered to have a deep connection with the people. At this time, both the time of rising and setting of God are considered very important. Chhath festival is a day dedicated to the worship of the Sun as well as Chhathi Maiya.
