Children's Day, celebrated every year in India, is children's day. On this day, something special happens everywhere for children. In many ways, there are programs related to increasing the enthusiasm and efficiency of children and sometimes many good things are also done on this day to give happiness to the children. Children's Day is celebrated on 14th November and Children's Day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. Till 1959, Children's Day was celebrated on 20 November in India. The United Nations celebrates Children's Day every year on 20 November. But after the death of the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, it was decided that Children's Day in India would be celebrated on 14 November, the birth anniversary of Nehruji. Jawaharlal Nehru loved children very much and to show his love, he has been associated with children on this day.

Children's Day was started in 1857 by Reverend Dr. Charles Leonard in Chelsea, America. Apart from this, globally Children's Day is celebrated on 1st June by most of the countries of the world. But Children's Day is celebrated every year on 20th November by the United Nations, whereas in India it can be celebrated on 14th November.
