 What should be done on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi: On this day Lord wakes up after the sleep of Chaturmas and takes up the work of running the world.  During Lord Rudra Chaturmas, the work of governing the creation is freed.  Therefore, Lord Vishnu should be worshiped with full devotion and devotion on this day.  Light a monolithic lamp in the house during the night and light some lamps on the roof of the house.


 What should not be done on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi:

 Ekadashi fasting is most dear to Lord Vishnu.  It has been told in the Puranas that even those who are not fasting on this day should not consume vengeful substances like onion, garlic, meat, egg.  Physical relations should also be avoided on this date.  Those who do not follow these rules have to face the harsh punishment of Yamraj.  In the next birth also one has to suffer for it.
