Ganpati Bappa is welcomed during the Ganesh Utsav and the festival ends with Ganpati Visarjan. This festival starts from the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, hence it is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the entire country. The festival lasts ten days and ends with Ganpati immersion on Anant Chaturdashi. Its immersion time also takes place on this day itself. Ganpati Visarjan and special rules
The worship of Lord Ganesha has special significance in the Hindu religion. Bappa is also known by many names like Vighnaharta, Khushkarta, Vinayak etc. Lord Ganesha is worshipped before any auspicious work. Ganpati immersion is done on the tenth day of Ganesh Chaturthi i.e. Anant Chaturdashi. Some people immerse Ganpati on one and a half, three, five or even the seventh day. Before immersing Lord Ganesha, he should be worshipped as per the rituals.
Ganpati Aarti should be performed. If possible you can also perform Havan. It is believed that Ganesh ji returns to his home on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. In such a situation, they should be kept from being sent off empty-handed, hence a bundle of Modak can be given in their hand before immersion.
Effect of immersion importance
Devotees get auspicious results from Ganpati immersion. Immersion of Ganesh ji: If there is a small clay idol, then you can immerse Ganpati ji in a tub of water at your home. After immersion, one should avoid the consumption of meat, alcohol etc. Also, purity should be followed on this day. Ganpati immersion done keeping these things in mind provides happiness to the devotees.
