The fast of Jyestha Gauri Puja is observed on the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This fast is observed in very few houses. According to the stories, all the women suffering from troubles in life went to Shri Mahalakshmi Gauri and prayed to her to make their marriage permanent. Gauri Puja's importance and mythological context

Gauri puja method
