Janaki Jayanti Puja 2024: Mata Janaki was born in Mithila to King Janak and Queen Sunayana. The mystery of Janaki's birth is narrated in various folklore and religious scriptures. The month of Falgun holds special significance for Mata Janaki. This day is also known as Sita Jayanti, marking the appearance of Mata Janaki. Special Janaki Jayanti Puja: Janaki Jayanti is observed on the Ashtami of the Krishna Paksha of the Falgun month. It commemorates Mata Janaki's incarnation on Earth. On this day, along with Mata Sita's puja, worship of Lord Shri Ram is also conducted. Devotees observe fasts and begin the day with a holy bath, followed by the puja.
