Bhairav Baba is the incarnation of Lord Shiva and the date of Ashtami of Krishna Paksha is revered as Kaal Bhairav Jayanti. According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Kaal Bhairav is also called the god of justice. Kaal Bhairav has a place as the god who destroys evil. Kaal Bhairav Ashtami is celebrated on Krishna Ashtami every month and the festival of Kaal Bhairav Jayanti is celebrated on the Ashtami day of Margashirsha month.
