Amarnath Cave: - A Wonder Worth Witnessing

The cave of Amarnath is very dear to the devotees of lord shiva. Devotees of lord shiva come from far and wide to have darshan here. The shivling made in this cave is amazing in itself. This shivling is made of ice and in summer it is opened for devotees for darshan. Normally the summer it is opened for devotees for darshan. Normally the snow melts in this heat but it is a miracle of Lord Shiva that the Shivling does not melt even after being made of snow and devotees see it. there is also a legend related to the cave of Amarnath. It is said that this is the same place where Lord Shiva narrated the story of immortality to Mother Parvati. This yatra continues throughout the month of Sawan. Two pigeons are also found in this which were listing to the immortal story of lord shiva and he became immortal. The Mahamaya Shaktipeeth is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of the Goddess in the cave of Amarnath. This is the place where the throat of Goddess Sati fell in ten Shaktipeeths.

The temple of Vaishno Devi Maa is situated on the tricot mountain of the Katra city of Jammu. Goddess Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi, and Mahakali Mata are worshipped in this temple in the form of Pindi. Mata Vaishno Devi destroys the pride of the people, this thing is known from the mythology. According to the legend, once Akbar made fun of the devotees of the goddess and doubted the power of the mother. He proudly brought a golden umbrella to the court of the goddess. At that time, to honor the faith and devotion of her devotees and to destroy the pride of Akbar, the goddess had converted the gold umbrella brought by her into a metal that no one knew about which metal it was. Seeing this miracle, Akbar’s pride was shattered and he had to apologize to the goddess and her devotees.

 

Raghunath temple is quite famous in Jammu and Kashmir.  This temple is in front of which all the buildings are small this temple in Jammu was built by Maharaja Ranveer Singh. This temple was started to be built by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1835. This temple was completed during the time of his son Maharaja Ranveer Singh. This temple is decorated with gold leaves and sheets. In this temple, there are also artistic idols of deities.
