Although the temple of Lord Parshuram Mahadev is in the Rajsamand district, the easy way to reach there is through the Aravalli hills of Pali. It is believed that the Parashuram Mahadev cave temple located in the cave of Kumbhalgarh hills was built by Parashuramji himself with his ax. He had cut the rock with his ax. Lord Parashuramji did penance here for many years. To reach this cave temple situated on the hill, one has to climb the hill for about 2 to 2.5 km, then have to travel about 500 steps. Then we enter the cave and see the Shivling of Parashuramji Mahadevji there.

The cave is about 10 by 10 feet. The height of this temple is about 3600 feet above sea level. It was from the penance performed here that he received the bow and the Akshaya quiver from Lord Shiva. The arrows of that quiver were never-ending and the bow always aimed accurately. From here he also got his famous Farsa.
 
This entire cave is built on a single rock. Gomukh is made on the Shivling, due to which the water stream falls on Lord Shiva.
 
There is also a figure of a demon on the rock in the cave. It is said that Parashuramji had killed this demon with his ax. Local people call it Amarnath Dham because just as Lord Shiva resides in Amarnath Dham located in Kashmir, in the same way, there is an unbroken abode of Shiva here too.
