Margashirsha Purnima Fast and Worship Method:
According to astrology, Lord Narayan is worshiped in the month of Margashirsha. It is believed that fasting and worshiping on this day brings economic prosperity to the house. Worship done on this day gives positivity in life.
On the day of Margashirsha Purnima, one should get up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. Lord Krishna should be worshiped on the day of Margashirsha Purnima and worship should be started after taking the resolution of fasting. Worship should be done by making an altar in the place of the temple and sacrifice should be given in Havan. It is best to sit near the idol of Lord Narayan and chant the remembrance mantra of Lord Narayan at night.
On the day of Margashirsha Purnima, charity, etc. should also be done to the needy or the poor. This is the best time to end sinful deeds.
Significance of Margashirsha Purnima:
According to the belief, by putting the soil of Tulsi root in the Ganges or any other holy river and taking a bath, the grace of Lord Krishna is received. Donations done on this day are 32 times more important than those done on other full moon days. It is also auspicious to worship Lord Satyanarayana and listen to stories on this day.
