Before inviting unmarried girls home, you will also pay attention to their age. Always invite girls of 2 to 10 years for Kanya Puja. Always invite 9 girls to your house for Kanya Puja.
In Navratri, a small child must be invited along with the girls. Because that little boy is considered to be the form of Kaal Bhairav. And the worship of Mata in Navratri is considered incomplete without Kaal Bhairav.
Kanya Puja is done on Ashtami or Navami Tithi, but most of the people do Kanya Puja only on Navami Tithi.
Before worshiping the girl, wash her feet and wipe them with a clean cloth. After that, by sitting on a clean seat, worship them according to the law, after that feed them kheer, pudding, gram, puri etc.
