Paush month 2022: From when to when
According to the Hindu calendar, the month of Paush will start from 9th December and will last till 7th January 2023. Worshiping and bathing in the Ganges in the month of Paush gives immense fruits. During this time, many types of auspicious fruits are given.
Actions and precautions to be taken in the month of Pausha: Worship of Sun God should be done daily throughout the month of Pausha. Offer water to the Sun, put vermilion, red flowers and a little Akshat in the water, then chant 'Om Hree Hree Suryaya Namah' while giving water. In the month of Pausha, along with the worship of Lord Vishnu, the Gita and Vishnu Sahastranam should be recited. Red or yellow clothes should be worn in this month, blankets, warm clothes, jaggery, sesame seeds should be donated to the needy. For the peace of the souls of the ancestors, one must do tarpan and pinddaan. In the month of Paush, hot things like jaggery, clove, ginger, celery should be consumed.

Avoid doing these things in the month of Pausha. Apart from meat-alcohol in the month of Paush, brinjal, radish, lentils, cauliflower, urad dal should not be consumed, it has a bad effect on health. Consumption of sugar or sweet things should be avoided in the month of Pausha. Kharmas starts in the month of Paush, so Kharmas should be avoided from starting any auspicious work or any new work. Avoid starting any new work or business in Kharmas. Consumption of salt should be minimized in the month of Pausha.
