After the meal, Brahmins are given donations and dakshina according to their ability and get their blessings.

Doing charity work on this day is also considered very auspicious. You can donate any item according to your ability to the poor and needy. You can also donate sweets, fruits or any food item. Planting Peepal, Banyan, Tulsi or Ashoka trees on this day is also considered very auspicious.
