Water has to be given to the ancestors in Pitru Paksha, so the one who offers water at that time will not grow hair and beard in the entire Pitru Paksha. Neither will the spectacled eat. Whoever does not do this, there is a loss in his wealth. In such a situation, those who perform tarpan for the ancestors in Pitru Paksha, they should take special care of this. It is a belief that food made of garlic, onion should not be eaten during Shradh Paksha. Doing so causes Pitra Dosh. If the date of death of ancestors is remembered, then it is considered best to do Pind Daan on that date.
Panchbali has special significance in Pitru Paksha
According to astrology, Panchbali is very important in Pitru Paksha. For this, the first food is taken out for the cow, which is also known as Gau Bali. After this, the second meal is taken out for the dog, which is called Schwanbali. Then the third meal is taken out for the crow, which is called Kak Bali. The fourth meal is taken out for the deities, called Dev Bali, which is either thrown into the water or fed to the cow. The fifth and final sacrifice is of ants, in which food is taken out for the ants. Which is known as Pipilikadi Bali.
