Shukla Paksha Pradosh fast performed during the time of Ashwin month is supposed to pacify all kinds of negative results. Special worship of Lord Shiva is done on Trayodashi Tithi of both the sides of every month. Pradosh fast is observed on this day. Pradosh Vrat is an auspicious day to worship Lord Shiva-Parvati.
When it is a Friday, it is also the one to pacify all types of Venus defects. By fasting on this day, materialistic pleasures are attained. Venus being the Trayodashi Tithi on Friday, the yoga of Pradosh is formed. Worshiping Lord Shiva and fasting in this combination removes all kinds of problems. Keeping Pradosh fast on Friday gives success in job and business.
