Description of Pradosh Mahima is also found in Shivpuran. Both Pradosh coming in Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha have special effects. Before the end of Bhadrapada month, the second and last Pradosh fast of Bhadrapada month will be observed. This time, devotees get special results by worshipping Shiva and following its rules properly during this Pradosh Vrat, which falls on the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha.
Rules of Shiva worship during Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat has special significance for Shiva devotees. Lord Shiva is pleased by worship and fasting on this day. All the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. By observing Pradosh fast, planetary defects also get removed. It is believed that by observing Pradosh fast all the wishes are fulfilled. Donating and chanting mantras during this fast brings positive results. Things dear to God should be used in worship.
Pradosh Puja is a fast observed for Lord Shiva. On this day, along with Shiva puja, one pleases God by doing Shiva Rudrabhishek. By observing Pradosh Vrat, all types of defects are pacified. This month, the second Pradosh fast of Bhadrapada month will be observed. On Pradosh fast, Goddess Parvati is worshipped along with Lord Shiva. On this day God resides with the devotees. It is believed that by observing this fast, troubles and faults are removed and desires are fulfilled. God maintains his grace. According to the Panchang, two Pradosh fasts are observed in a month, one of which is observed in Shukla Paksha and the other in Krishna Paksha. According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi tithi of Shukla Paksha this month will start at 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27 and will end at 10:28 p.m. For this reason, Pradosh Vrat will be observed on 27th September only.
