Know some interesting facts related to Shri Ram in the Ramayana period

Shri Ram was born on Chaitra Shukla Navami in Abhijit Muhurta. Shri Ram took birth on earth as an incarnation of Vishnu and taught people to walk on the path of dignity and truth. Many notable developments took place in the life of Shri Ram. Many traces of the Ramayana period are present even today after centuries.

Ram Setu
There is a road-like terrain in the sea between the island of Mannar located in the north-western part of Sri Lanka from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. It is called Ram Setu.
According to Hindu beliefs, when Ravana kidnapped Sita and took her to Lanka, then Rama left for Lanka with his monkey army. Due to the sea between the Rameshwaram coast to Lanka, a foot route was made for Rama's army. This is also known as Ram Setu. Before ascending to Lanka, Shri Ram worshiped Shiva at Rameshwaram, where the Shivling established by Shri Ram is also present.

Ayodhya city
Shri Ram was born in the city of Ayodhya situated on the banks of river Saryu. He was the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya. This place is still famous by the name Ram Janmabhoomi. At present, a grand temple of Ram is being built at the Janmabhoomi. On the occasion of Ram Navami, lakhs of devotees come to Ayodhya to have a darshan of Ram Lalla.

Janakpuri
Shri Ram's wife Mata Sita was born in Janakpuri. Sita was the daughter of King Janak. Ram and Sita were married in Janakpuri. It was here that Rama broke the bow during Sita's swayamvara. Presently Janakpur is located in Nepal, which is 15 km away from the Indian border, where stone fragments are present in the form of the remains of Dhanush. The marriage pavilion of Ram-Sita is also built here. Where people from all over the world come to visit.

kishkinda
In the Ramayana period, Kishkinda is said to be the capital of the monkey king Bali and Sugriva. Presently the place around Hampi in Karnataka is considered Kishkinda. The caves of Bali and Sugriva also exist on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. This is where the Anjanadri mountain is located, it is said that Hanuman was born here. Pampa Sarovar is also situated at a short distance from here. Shri Ram and Lakshman stayed here during their exile. Shabari cave is also present near Pampa Sarovar.
 
 Apart from these, many signs of the Ramayana period are found in different places even today. During the exodus, Shri Ram was made to cross the Ganges by Kevat, this place is currently believed to be in Shringverpur near Prayagraj. It is said that Lord Rama spent most of his time in Chitrakoot during his exile. This is where Bharata had come to meet Shri Ram. At present this place is located on the border of UP and MP.

Ravana was the king of all the demons. As a child, he was afraid of all people because he had ten heads. He had a strong faith in Lord Shiva. It is well known that Ravana was a great scholar and studied the Vedas.
