The time of Chaturthi that comes every month is special for worshipping Ganesh Chaturthi. This time, Lord Shri Ganesha will be worshipped and Chaturthi fast will be observed on the Chaturthi day of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Krishna Paksha Chaturthi fast will be observed on 1 November 2023, along with this, Karva Chauth fast will also be observed on this day. Know the auspicious time of the Sankashti fast
Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is called Sankat Chauth. By worshipping Lord Ganesha on this day, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. All the obstacles of life are removed. This also brings happiness and prosperity in life. This time the time of Sankashti Chaturthi fast will be on 1st November, the time of worship will start at 09:12 in the morning and the night moon worship will be completed simultaneously. On this day of fasting, it is auspicious to take a bath in Brahma Muhurta and after that worship Lord Ganesha.
Ganesh Sankashti Vrat Puja
In Ganesh Sankashti Vrat Puja, fasting is done along with remembering the name of God. On this day, people decorate the temple of God by spreading red or yellow cloth, install the idol of Lord Ganesha on it, meditate on Lord Ganesha and take a vow to fast. Roli, Akshat and flowers are taken and worshiped while chanting the mantra. The main puja of Sankashti Vrat is performed in the evening.
The puja is completed by worshiping the moon. After duly worshiping Lord Ganesha at night, the Moon is worshiped and Arghya is offered to him. Along with offering Arghya to the Moon, the name of Lord Shri Ganesha is remembered and for any mistake committed during the fast or puja. Asking for forgiveness: Along with fasting, charity also has great importance on this day. Reciting Chaturthi Vrat Katha on this day is considered very auspicious. It is said that reading and listening to the story of Chaturthi fast on this day is very auspicious and fruitful.
