Benefits of Worshiping Shivaratri Char Prahar
The four Prahar Puja of Shivaratri begins in the evening and is performed till Brahma muhurta. There is a tradition of worshipping on this day by doing night awakening. This night of Lord Shiva is like nectar for the devotees. This worship mainly leads to the attainment of all the four parts of life i.e. Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha and also one gets the power to gain control over all of them in life.
first watch
The first mountain is worshipped in the evening after sunset in the Pradosh period. Its timing is from 06.00 pm to 9.00 pm. In the worship of the first Prahar, at home or in the pagoda, by law, the Shivling should be anointed with milk. While offering milk, keep chanting the mantra Om shivay Namah. Worshipping the first Prahar gives freedom from all the defects.
second watch
The worship of the second mountain is done between 9 pm and 12.00 pm. In this worship, there is a great mantra, Om Namah, while chanting the mantra, Bholenath should be offered curd. After meditating on Mahadev, recite the praise of Shiva. With this, money-related problems are removed, and solutions are obtained for the elimination of sudden obstacles.
third watch
The third Pahar is worshipped at midnight. Abhishek of Bholenath with cow's ghee between 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm. The mantra of this period is Om Vamdevaya Namah: Worshiping the third clock is considered auspicious to achieve success in a particular task.
fourth watch
The time of worship of the fourth Prahar is from 03.00 in the night to 06.00 in the morning. Offer honey to Shiva in the fourth prahar. Also chant the mantra Om Sadyojatam Prapadyami Sadyojatay Vai Namah. This worship leads to salvation.
